Piece # 184 "Style and Grace"
A Zoria's Creation. Krista DeSelms ©2012

Beautiful Golden Tiger Eye cabochon wrapped in square and twisted Copper wire. Matching pendant is here: but are being sold separately.

Tiger Eye is a type of quartz that is chatoyant from inclusions of crocidolite. It is lustrous yellow to brown. The name is from the appearance of the stone, banded browns and golden yellows. Tiger Eyes normally start out blue but with oxidization turns to the yellow and brown color that is more popularly known.

Copper is pure metallic element that is malleable and has a warm brown tone. Some people believe that wearing Copper can help with the pain and stiffness of Arthritis, though it has not been scientifically proven.

Yes, I do custom work.

The double connection on each side of the stone with jump rings might be another approach, thanks!

This piece definitely lives up to its name! I like the awesome wire work that went into the piece, very elegant and sophisticated.

I find it curious that th copper makes the Tiger's Eye have a greenish tint in it.

Absolutely lovely!

Thank you so very much! This is one of my favorite bracelets I've made so it's nice to hear when other's appreciate it :)

That's odd, I've never noticed any green in it in person lol maybe it's the picture.

Thank you again!

Love how the swirls draw the focus toward the center. Not seen a cab wrap like this before. It's different. (In a very good way!) Lots of texture and dimension. Your wraps are so even!

I have So got to figure some of these techniques out. *runs out to play with more wire.* Promise that I'm not trying to copy your work.

Thank you very much, I love these kinds of swirls too, they've got great depth to them :) I hope your wrapping goes well! If you use my designs please give credit and link back! Good luck!

You're welcome. Thanks! I hope to get much better.

I try not to use others designs, as I do sell or plan to sell my pieces. I was thinking of some of the elements or techniques that you use. Like the frame that you used on the bracelet, minus the swirls. Or do the swirls a different way. I'd been trying to figure out a two ended frame for a bracelet with multiple stones.

Course, if I do use one of your designs in full, it won't be for sale and I will definitely credit and link. (I have some crazy family and close friends who like my stuff and don't mind them as gifts.)

Ha haa, I give my pieces as gifts to all my family! I'm actually very proud of this bracelet design, as it is completely my own design. I was having issue with the solid bracelet design I've seen others use as you couldn't make the bracelet smaller or bigger once it was made, so now I make my bracelets in a three part design, the stone wrapped, plus two pieces that make up the band, that way if someone loves the wrapped stone but the band is too big or small I can swap it out!!! :D I was so freaking proud of myself when I sat down and figured this out lol I've not seen any other wire worker I do this :)

I would never have thought about tiger eye with copper, but it looks great. And I really like these types of clasps like you used here; they're so easy to put on and take off.

Why thank you :) I've been putting all types of Tiger Eye in Copper for some time now and am always happy with the results.
