Metallic Green Easter Egg

Description

Well, a while back I ordered half a dozen peahen eggs with not the vaguest idea of what to do with them, only that I really liked the idea of inquiring them in my work somehow. This is the finished product, it took too many hours for me to want to admit but finally I got it just right :D This is 20 gauge metallic green colored craft wire wrapped in designs to fit around the peahen egg and then krazy glued down.

Yup, I'm making a craft store run tomorrow and grabbing all the different colored wires they have and these are going to be my family's Easter eggs this year :D I'm glad we don't have really little kids around for I fear they are just to look at, though I did drop it from my lap to the carpet and it just bounced once and rolled away, not a thing wrong lol.

I might be willing to sell these babies, I'll have more of them up soon, I think the jewelry is taking a back seat at the moment. If interested shoot me a message with an offer I guess, quite a few hours of work went into it so only serious offers please. If you catch me soon enough you can choose what color wire you want ;)

You can find all of my jewelry and art for sale on my official website here: [link]

This is a really neat idea! My family owns four hens, and I work with wire, maybe I should try this sometime :) Did you blow the eggs out before hand? If you did then it seems like you would have to be really careful not to break the shell. Perhaps I could try wrapping an egg and then blowing it out?
