This is the cab that I've wrapped for the roaming wire I run on Rock Tumbling Hobby forums. It, along with three pretty cabs will be sent out tomorrow as the first box in our 2013 round or roaming wire. I'm excited for the recipient to get it! Sorry for the bad quality picture, I still only have my phone to take pictures with and the macro setting is less than satisfying to me.

Carnelian wrapped in square Copper wire.

Carnelian is a variety of Chalcedony with reddish orange coloring to deep red that can seem almost black. The shades in Carnelian are caused by the presence of iron oxide. This stone is sometimes found as a solid colored stone, in which case it’s classified only as Carnelian, and sometimes found with bands running through it, in these cases it is both Carnelian and an Agate. This stone’s name has altered from Cornelian to Carnelian, it is believed to come from the Latin word “cornum”, a translucent red cherry that resembles the appearance of Carnelian.

Copper is pure metallic element that is malleable and has a warm brown tone. Some people believe that wearing Copper can help with the pain and stiffness of Arthritis, though it has not been scientifically proven.
